A Practical QA Pass for FiveM Resources

A repeatable staging checklist for streamed assets, vehicles and installation, without relying on an empty-server showcase.

A practical release check begins with a repeatable scenario, not a promise of perfect performance. Use a staging environment, keep the unmodified download and record the game build and resource versions. The workflow below is guidance for evaluating a resource in your own server, not a certification of any particular product or hardware configuration.

Verify the installation before the visuals

Follow the instructions for the exact edition you purchased. Confirm dependencies, folder names and any documented startup requirements. Read startup logs and check a fresh player connection. If a package fails in a minimal supported configuration, capture the error before adding more integrations.

Walk the complete location

For a map or MLO, check entrances, floors, stairs, room transitions and exterior approaches. Look for missing collisions, overlapping replacements, flickering surfaces and lighting that changes unexpectedly between rooms. Visit from different directions and repeat at relevant times of day. A camera flythrough and a player walking the location exercise different paths.

  • Document exact coordinates and reproduction steps for each issue.
  • Test alongside the map resources you intend to keep installed.
  • Inspect the area from more than one client when possible.
  • Keep a short recording and relevant logs without credentials or personal data.

Exercise the gameplay around the asset

For vehicles, test each documented model, relevant extras, liveries and your garage workflow. For scripts, check normal use, permission boundaries, failure cases and interactions with required dependencies. Do not mistake functionality supplied by another resource for something included with the asset itself.

Measure representative conditions

Use a workload that resembles the intended activity. Keep conditions consistent when comparing a change, and distinguish rendering symptoms from script execution or network delays. Entity count and download size are useful context, but neither is a universal performance score. Repeat surprising results before treating them as evidence.

Keep a release record and a rollback

Save the tested configuration, accepted limitations and any local edits permitted by the licence. Define a quick smoke test for deployment and a clear rollback step. The official profiler guide can help investigate execution costs. For a KAIZO-specific problem, contact support with a reproducible report.
