The 15-Minute Pre-Launch Checklist for New RP Servers

Launch day is won or lost in the week before it. This is the pre-flight routine we recommend to every server that buys from us — fifteen minutes, in order, no skipping.

Minutes 0–4: Content audit

  • List every map/MLO/vehicle pack and confirm each is on its latest version
  • Cross-check placements for conflicts (two assets claiming the same vanilla building is the classic launch-day bug)
  • Remove anything nobody can justify — every unused asset is load order risk

Minutes 5–8: Load test

Fill a staging server with as many staff/friends as you can muster and pile everyone into your flagship locations. Watch client FPS and server thread time in the busiest room you own. If the tuning bay melts at 20 players, it will melt harder at 100 — better to know now.

Minutes 9–11: The newcomer walk

Spawn in as a brand-new player with zero instructions. Can you find the mechanic? The gun store? Somewhere to meet people? Your cornerstone locations should be discoverable without a tutorial. If they aren't, adjust signage or spawn logic — not the wiki nobody reads.

Minutes 12–13: Support plumbing

Discord support channel live? Install guides pinned? Refund policy written down? The first week generates more tickets than the next three months combined.

Final 2 minutes: The calendar

Look at the next 90 days. Mark every holiday. If a seasonal event lands inside your launch window, buy and install that content now — retrofitting it the week of the holiday is how launches get stressed.

Fifteen minutes, done in order, and you'll dodge the five failures that kill most new cities in their first month. See you out there.
